Bugg i YouTube gör att du slipper reklam

På Reddit har någon publicerat ett enkelt sätt att se på YouTube utan reklam.

Allt du behöver göra är att lägga till en ”punkt” efter .com inne på den videon du vill se utan reklam. Exempelvis youtube.com./videoid

unicorn4sale på Reddit förklarar buggen på detta vis:

It’s a commonly forgotten edge case, websites forget to normalize the hostname, the content is still served, but there’s no hostname match on the browser so no cookies and broken CORS – and lots of bigger sites use a different domain to serve ads/media with a whitelist that doesn’t contain the extra dot

Dock anar jag att denna bugg kommer täppas till ganska omgående nu av YouTube, men för tillfället så fungerar den.
